Proficiencies.
Each Rune Acolyte has proficiency in three skills. At the end of each week of assignment you may change one of their proficiencies for another proficiency of your choice.
Each Rune Acolyte’s proficiency bonus is +2.
Spell Points.
Each Rune Acolyte has a casting level of 2 and a maximum of 10 spell points, regaining 1d10 spell points whenever they complete a long rest. They may use these points to cast spells they know. A Rune Acolyte uses your spell save DC when they cast these spells.
In addition, you may grant your Rune Acolyte spell slots so they may cast additional spells. Whenever you finish a short or long rest you may expend a spell slot of any level to grant one of your Acolyte’s a spell slot of that level or two spell slots who’s combine level equates to the expended slot level. You may use this ability regardless of the distance between you and your Acolyte, provided you are on the same plane of existence.
Known Spells.
When you gain them each Rune Acolyte knows 6 spells of their choice. For every week they are paid while not on assignment the rune acolyte learns one additional spell, to a maximum of 16. If you don’t give them a spell to learn they will choose one. A Rune Acolyte may learn spells of a higher level than they can cast.
Signature Spell.
Choose a spell you know of a level half or lower than the maximum level you can cast. For so long as you choose your Rune Acolyte can cast that spell at will. As long as the Rune Acolyte retains this ability you lose one spell slot of that level.
If the Rune Acolyte spends a week in the same city as you while not on assignment you can change their signature spell.
